B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics is a three year undergraduate programme that helps students to develop interpretive, analytical and logical skills required in the field of Mathematics. The programme trains students to handle concrete and abstract problems and solve them using their critical observations. This programme is designed in a manner which amiably enhances students’ Mathematical, experimental, computational, conceptual and communicating skills for an advanced professional, academic and research careers. After the completion of this programme, students can find placements in different fields such as Research Analyst, Actuarial Analyst, Software Analyst, Banking Officer, Scientist in DRDO & Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Teachers, and Mathematicians etc.
Eligibility
- The Admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics first Semester shall be opened to any person who has passed 10+2 examination (Senior Secondary System) in any stream having Mathematics as one of the subject from the Punjab School Education Board or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar with 50% marks in aggregate. 5% of Relaxation will be given to SC/ST students as per GNDU norms.
